Our Patron
Blessed Mother Mary, Queen of Heaven and Earth: Our School’s Patroness
Our school is honored to have Blessed Mother Mary, Queen of Heaven and Earth, as its patroness. This title, rich with meaning, reflects qualities that go beyond any one religion and speaks to all people—love, compassion, humility, and service.
Mother Mary’s Queenship celebrates her unique role as the Mother of Jesus, who is recognized as a great teacher and spiritual leader around the world. After her earthly life, Catholic tradition teaches that Mother Mary was taken into Heaven and crowned Queen, not as a ruler of power, but as a figure of grace and motherly care. This idea invites us to see leadership as a call to serve others with kindness and humility.
Pope Pius XII formally established the Feast of the Queenship of Mary in 1954 on 22nd August, to honour her special place in salvation history, emphasizing that her greatness comes from her loving cooperation with God’s plan and her ongoing care for humanity. She is often called the spiritual mother of all people, offering guidance and hope in life’s challenges.
Choosing our Blessed Mother Mary as our school’s patroness inspires us to live with the same virtues she showed: faith, patience, and love. Her example encourages us to respect and care for one another, building a school community grounded in peace and understanding, where everyone is welcomed and valued.
In celebrating Mary, Queen of Heaven and Earth, in a special manner on Patron's Day on 22nd August, we embrace a Universal Model of gentle leadership and compassion that transcends faith, traditions and unites us all in a shared journey toward goodness and truth.
