Fire Safety Mock Drill Demo held in QMS campus on 3rd July, 2026
As the Odisha State Disaster Management Authorities have ordered a Statewide Fire Safety Audit of Educational institutions, on 3rd July, 2026, Queen Mary's School has taken a step to organise a fire Safety Mock Drill demonstration that was held in the QMS school campus by Mr. Samir Kumar Barik, a staff member of the National Fire Protection Co. A select group of boys and girls students from Std. VIII, IX and X, non teaching staff as well as all the staff teachers participated in the drill and have learnt the proper use of fire extinguishers in cases of any fire emergency. The National Fire Protection Co. owned by Mr. Shantibrata Bose, has undertaken the responsibility of supplying and installation of updated fire extinguishers systems. This safety drive is a step taken in the wake of news of recent unfortunate fire incidents in an educational institution. This move is meant to ensure that our educational institutions are safe places for our children.
